She’s welcoming her third child in less than eight weeks, but telly presenter Lucy Kennedy has revealed she won’t be painting her walls pink or blue just yet.

The star (37) admitted that she and her husband Richard Governey will be keeping the sex of their little one a surprise, despite the temptation to be in the know.

“I was so tempted to look at the big scan at 22 weeks but I decided no, I closed my eyes in case I saw a willy. I have no names picked out, I need to do all of this,” said Lucy, speaking to TV Week in The Irish Daily Mail.

The TV3 star, who is currently filming a new series of Living with Lucy, has been busier than ever but admitted her pregnancy is catching up to her. Stars including Shane Long and Jedward will feature in the upcoming series, and a recent show with Kerry Katona was a big hit with viewers.

“I’m seven months. I feel grand. I am so busy it’s flying by. Jack and Holly kissed my tummy last week and said ‘Wow, you’re quite big.’

“So I feel a bit conscious around them. I broke one of the slats on my bed just from sitting down. It could have been a coincidence but they have told everyone. It was Holly’s news for the day in school,” she said.

The mum revealed that she is looking forward to her maternity leave but hopes to return to the Seven O’Clock Show by next summer.

“My plan is to finish Living with Lucy, work right up to the end with The Seven O’Clock Show and then take five months off and just be a mummy. I will definitely be back. I have so much to do with The Seven O’Clock Show.”
