Hollywood actor Jim Carrey is doing "everything he can" to help the family of his former girlfriend Cathriona White following her tragic death this week.
Citing a source close to Carrey, TMZ.com are reporting 'The Truman Show' actor is determined to help her family in any way he can.
Carrey is understood to have paid for Cathriona's family to fly to Los Angeles and he's paying for their accommodation in a hotel.
Earlier this week, Carrey was pictured with Cathriona's older sister Lisa as she travelled from her late sister's home in Sherman Oaks in Los Angeles.
Cathriona hailed from the Co Tipperary village of Cappawhite and her sister Lisa still lives there, as does her stepmother who was married to her later father Pat.
Her mother and brother are understood to live in the UK.
Final funeral arrangements have not yet been made as the family are awaiting the Coroner's office to release Cathriona's remains.
TMZ.com say that Carrey has offered to cover all of the expenses relating to the funeral.
It is believed Cathriona will be laid to rest alongside her late father in Cappawhite.
Friends of Carrey say the actor is "devastated" by her death and wants to ensure things are taken care of for her grieving family.
It is not known whether Carrey will travel to Ireland for the funeral.
Cathriona's body was found in her home on Monday night in Los Angeles.
It's understood her relationship with Carrey ended on Friday, September 24th. Her body was discovered by friends four days later.
The LA Coroner's office are treating her death as a suicide.
