'Fifty Shades of Grey' star Dakota Johnson has banned her parents – actress Melanie Griffith and ex-Miami Vice star Don Johnson – from seeing her perform in the raunchy film.
Dakota is set to be blindfolded and whipped by Jamie Dornan’s Christian Grey, and engage in other S&M acts in the film, due to be released in 2015.
Griffith told IndieWire: “[Dakota] was like, 'You guys cannot come. There's no way.' So we're not going.”
Griffith did however visit her daughter on set:
"I did go visit for a couple of days when they were shooting just normal stuff. I did see the Room of Pain,” referring to the room where Dakota will be tied up by Dornan in the film.
However, Griffith did get to visit one of the movie's most infamous places.
“I did go visit for a couple of days when they were shooting just normal stuff. I did see the Room of Pain. I did go in there and check it out,” she said.
