Life is peachy in Los Angeles for Claudine Keane as the former model spent a day at Disneyland with her young son Robbie Jr.
Despite his age, five-year-old Robbie was tall enough to ride many of the roller coasters in the California theme park, much to the disappointment of his mum.
“Much to my horror Robert is – at the age of five- tall enough to ride a roller coaster at the theme park and he was delighted,” Claudine wrote in her column in The Irish Daily Star.
“Much to his excitement he got to go on the famous Space Mountain roller coaster and, although he wouldn’t admit it, he looked a bit traumatised after the Tower of Terror which has multiple freefall drops,” Claudine said.
LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane’s crafty young son made sure to wear the appropriate footwear to avoid last year’s pitfall when he was deemed too small to go on some of the bigger rides.
“He wore his favourite trainers, which have thicker soles, to ensure there would be no repeat of last year when he was just a little too short for the height requirement,” Claudine said.
Despite not being able to join his family in Disneyland, Robbie Keane did manage to take his little one to a LA Galaxy match as he is currently injured.
“Rob suffered a minor injury this week so he missed the LA Galaxy game against Seattle Sounders.
“This meant Robert enjoyed the rare occasion where his dad took him to an LA Galaxy game instead of me and he had a wonderful time.”
The dad and son duo enjoyed the game with David Beckham and his sons Cruz and Romeo.
“It was great to see David Beckham and his boys Romeo and Cruz cheer on his old team as they sat with Rob and Robert in the stand.
“They all had a great day and Rob’s injury is thankfully on the mend,” Claudine said.
