'We can make it work' - Mark Wright on being separated from wife Michelle Keegan for months
Mark Wright has insisted that he and wife Michelle Keegan can "make it work," despite months of separation.
Reality tv star Wright wed the former Coronation Street actress in 2015, with Michelle travelling abroad for several months ahead of their second wedding anniversary this year.
Michelle (29) will travel to Nepal, South Africa and Malaysia for the third series of Our Girl.
Speaking to Christine Bleakly on Lorraine, Wright said that he will visit his wife when he can.
"Michelle goes away very shortly for a few months.
"I’ll be going back and forward when I can fit it in with work. She’ll be travelling Nepal, South Africa and Malaysia but we can make it work."
While the pair frequently travel for work, the tv presenter said that they are happiest at home in Essex.
"We live in Essex but work takes us everywhere," he said.
"Home is our favourite place, shut the door, pyjamas on, takeaway."
Earlier this year, Michelle quashed rumours that her marriage was in trouble.
"Why can't a woman work away and have a separate career from her husband and still have a good marriage?" she told the Sunday People.
"That's the frustrating thing. What do people think goes on? Everything is fine with us.
"We have separate careers. Why is it a bad thing? I speak my mind and it gets me into trouble.
"I'm just a normal girl. I'm just doing my job... I am married but I don't have to sit at home.
"That's the frustrating thing and it is going to happen again. Me and Mark know that.
"I've got to go away for work. But we know what to expect now. He will come visit me and it will be fine."
