The 46-year-old, best known for her roles in King Kong and tsunami-inspired The Impossible, chatted about juggling work and family during an interview with the Mail on Sunday's You magazine.
Watts, who has two young sons with partner of ten years American actor Liev Schreiber, said: "The children do make me feel younger, on the one hand, but also in a state of complete exhaustion."
She added: "There are no tricks to balancing work and family. It is a struggle all the time and you just do your best."
The British-born actress, who has had Oscar nominations for her performances in The Impossible and as a grieving mother in 21 Grams, also shared her beauty secrets after she was chosen to promote the latest anti-ageing product from L'Oreal Paris.
"My other beauty 'secrets' aren't secrets at all," she added.
"They're the obvious ones: major amounts of water, as much as you can; the right amount of sleep; a great moisturiser; and a good, deep cleanse every night.
"And also tinting my eyebrows and eyelashes, which are completely blonde, to frame my face. and applying plenty of mascara."
