Watch out Kylie Minogue: Kylie Jenner (17) reportedly trying to trademark her first name

Move over Kylie Minogue, reality starlet Kylie Jenner is reportedly trying to trademark her name so that nobody else can use it.

The youngest member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan has decided it's time to protect her "brand".

According to entertainment website TMZ, Ms Jenner has filed an application to trademark her first name.

The website reports that Jenner is trying to trade mark her given name Kylie to "entertainment in the nature of providing information by means of a global computer network in the fields of entertainment, fashion and pop culture."

In layman's terms this means that no one in future would be able to trade off the name Kylie.

According to TMZ, Kylie's model sister Kendall has also filed an application for her name.
