Actress Courteney Cox has revealed her entire family is enthralled with her fiance's Irish accent.

The Cougar Town star has been engaged to Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid, from Co Down, for the last year and is still as transfixed as ever with her other half's Northern lilt.

While celebrating their engagement last year, her immediate family all flew in from Alabama and did their best Johnny impression - in front of him.

Cox explained to Jimmy Kimmel Live: "We were celebrating our engagement a year ago and in Northern Ireland, you say the word 'now', not like 'n-o-w' but it's like 'a-u-w. It's hard to do it, I cannot get it. I was trying to get my family, a bunch of Southerners to say, 'how now brown cow'."
