Tina Fey praises Leonardo DiCaprio's climate change Oscars speech: 'Most actors are very stupid'
Along with winning literally millions of hearts after finally getting his Oscar on Sunday night, Leonardo DiCaprio has a new fan - Tina Fey.
The seven-time nominated actor finally took home the gold and during his lengthy speech (he was the only recipient who wasn't ushered off stage with music), he referenced the importance of tackling global warming and climate change.
And Fey said she was thrilled to see an actor make an intelligent speech on one of the biggest platforms in the world (900 million people tuned into the 2016 ceremony).
"I always am psyched when someone's articulate about those things, because let's face it, actors are very stupid," she told Howard Stern's Sirus XM show, while promoting her film Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
"But he's so smart and his speech was so cogent."
When asked if she considers the modeliser's busy dating history to be "misogynistic", she said: "Is it misogynistic to sleep with a bunch of women who want to sleep with you? I don't think it's misogynistic, no. I think everybody there is up for it, but also he's still cute."
