This is what Hillary Clinton said after meeting Kim Kardashian for the first time
It seems their infamous selfie was only the start of a blossoming friendship between Kim Kardashian and Hillary Clinton.
The American presidential hopeful told tv host Mario Lopez (formerly of Saved By The Bell fame) that she really enjoyed meeting reality star Kim Kardashian.
In the interview, the 67-year-old politician was asked about the importance of social media in modern society, and how it is helping her engage with a new audience.
“That’s how people communicate these days. That’s where they get their news. That’s where they find out what their friends are thinking," Hillary told Lopez.
When asked whether she thought Kim was a good role model for women and young girls, Hillary was gracious in her response.
“You know, I just met her for the first time. She came to one of my fundraisers in Los Angeles, and I really enjoyed meeting her; I really found her to be warm and very personable.”
That very fundraiser was where Hillary had her photo snapped with Kim and her rapper husband, Kanye West.
“She had a nice way of introducing her husband, as if I didn’t know who he was,” Hillary laughed. “And I enjoy seeing her with her daughter.”
While Kim has gained international fame and notoriety as a ruthless self promoter willing to divulge every aspect of her life, Hillary praised her entrepreneurial spirit.
“I think all of us in our own ways can be inspirational or aspirational for people, and I certainly think many people see her as someone who gets up every day and tries to figure out how to make that day successful.”
