Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman visited Ashford Castle, Co. Mayo today as part of her trip to Ireland.
Huffman, who starred as Lynette Scavo in the television series, posted a picture to Twitter of her and her daughter standing outside the castle, saying: “This might be the most beautiful place I have ever been to.”
The Oscar-winning actress travelled to Ireland yesterday after a trip to Edinburgh and plans to visit Dublin while in the Emerald Isle.
“So excited to get exploring!” she wrote on Twitter.
Huffman (53) is travelling with her daughter Sofia to celebrate her sixteenth birthday.
It looked to be a girls trip as she left husband of 19 years, actor William H. Macy at home.
“My girl is 16 this week and we are off on an adventure!” she said.
The star has taken to Twitter to ask her fans for advice while travelling to Ireland and Scotland, which appear to be the only two stops on their trip.
We're in Dublin! Well...the airport lounge in Dublin...but everyone has accents so that counts. pic.twitter.com/rwX56CNyaa— Felicity Huffman (@FelicityHuffman) August 3, 2016
