EastEnders star Kellie Bright has impressed the judges with her jive and Charleston in Strictly Come Dancing.

To date, she has avoided the dreaded dance-off.

This week, the soap actress is dancing a waltz.

Partner Kevin Clifton took the 39-year-old to a tea dance at a community centre near to where they have been training.

The pair walked into the room to applause before taking a spin on the dance floor with a few of the regulars.

At one point, Kellie took cakes around. "Have I turned into mother? Tea anyone?" she said.

The actress also had a chat with a few of the dancers. One lady said: "You're our favourite, very consistent!"

The couple then showcased their waltz for the crowd and received rapturous applause.

One man observed: "They look so young. Her being in EastEnders. My wife said her hair looked funny last Saturday. I think they'll do very well. If they do it like that they'll go and win it. I'd give them a 10."

A regular said: "It was quite good, they have to polish it up though. I think Kellie needs to work on her turns. I think she should go a long way on the show. I had one dance. Didn't have the right shoes. She's a very good actress."

Another stated: "It's been a treat. We come to the tea dance every so often. 10 out of 10 from us. Fab-u-lous! They are going to go far. We'll all be voting this week. Every year we can't wait for Strictly."
