Solange attacked Jay-Z in lift as he planned to ‘party with Rihanna without Beyonce’
SOLANGE’S lift attack on Jay-Z was reportedly because he planned to go to Rihanna’s after party without wife Beyonce.
The New York Daily News reports that the row was started after Jay-Z became annoyed that two of Solange’s friends tried to sue his name to get in to the Met after party.
Solange was reported to be unhappy that the rapper was making an issue of it.
When Solange demanded the group leave, Jay-Z said he was going to Rihanna’s after party which prompted the attack.
She was said to be further annoyed that the rapper planned to go without her older sister and his wife Beyonce.
Jay-Z did not retaliate during Solange's outburst.
Ultimately he decided against going to the bash, as he was seen been driven home in a separate car to The Knowles sisters.
Jay-Z and Rihanna have been friends for many years – Jay-Z was a major influence in launching the career of the superstar.
He signed her to his ‘Roc Nation’ label in 2004.
It is also reported that Solange is frustrated with her brother-in-law’s refusal to make time to help her with her music career.
Despite the now infamous video, it appears family relations may be on the mend, as Jay-Z and Solange were seen at high-end specialty store Mr. Flawless in New York City Tuesday browsing alongside each other unperturbed.
Apparently the pair “showed no signs of strife” as they looked at all of the stunning trinkets. It is claimed Jay-Z and Solange spoke with the owner of the store, but walked out empty-handed, as nothing was purchased.
Jay-Z attended a Brooklyn Nets game Monday night with his wife Beyoncé and the couple looked happier than ever while watching the team play from their courtside seats.
