So this is what Sia looks like without her wigs
Sia is just as famous for her OTT wigs than she is her extensive list of hits.
The Chandelier singer wasn't always hidden under her trademark blonde wig with black stripe covering her face - on the red carpet or on stage. In the early days of her career, like in 2008, she went on stage like everyone else and let her natural beauty shine through.
Fast forward eight years, she's still beautiful but prefers to keep her face out of the public domain so that she can maintain a level of privacy when she's not working.
"Well it's just so that I can go to Target and buy a hose if I want to, or if I find I'm in need of a restroom, I can go in the side of the road and no one would be following me with a camera trying to get a shot," she told The Ellen Show.
But she later revealed to James Corden she felt that there was an element of mystery missing from today's music industry.
"I was an alcoholic and a drug addict. I sobered up, and I decided I didn’t want to be an artist anymore, because I was starting to get a little bit famous and it was destabilizing in some way," she said.
"So I thought, 'What doesn’t exist in pop music at the moment?' And it was mystery. I was like, there’s pictures on Instagram of everyone at the dentist."
In 2015, she was pictured minus the wig at ELLE's Annual Women in Television Celebration and looked happy to pose for a rare picture.
