Samantha Mumba reveals daughter Sage (2) is 'so happy' to be reunited with father in LA
Say farewell to Samantha Mumba who has departed Ireland for the sunny beaches of Los Angeles.
The Drumcondra native (34) recently wrapped up her time on TV3's The Six O'Clock Show where she had been filling in for Lucy Kennedy during her maternity leave, but with her duties fulfilled, Samantha decided to return to her adopted home of Los Angeles.
Her husband Torray Scales, an LAPD officer, had remained at the couple's home stateside while Samantha temporarily moved home to pursue television opportunities in Ireland, including Celebrity Masterchef.
And one person in particular who is thrilled to be back in LA is their two-year-old daughter Safe, who was "so happy" to be reunited with her dad after being away for so long.
The Gotta Tell you singer recently shared a photo of herself and her daughter wearing the same outfit, saying she plans on making the most of her daughter's younger years and has been busy documenting their mother/daughter bonding experiences on social media.
"I plan on making the most of these years of her wanting to be just like mommy before I'm too uncool for her," she said.
Samantha first moved to California in 2006 and eventually settled there when she met Scales, whom she wed in 2012; but don't ask her to pick a favourite city.
"Since having Sage it's great being around my family and for them being there for special things with her. It's a tough one," she said.
"I think it's important for [Sage] to know where her roots are from."
