Russell Crowe was forced to remove an "erratic" Azealia Banks from a hotel room party on Sunday after she "threatened" guests.
The rapper was attending a party in Crowe's Beverly Hills hotel room when she reportedly threatened guests after she made a comment about the actor.
Entertainment site TMZ reports that the incident occurred when Banks (25) laughed at the actor’s music selection and then called him and another guest, “boring white men.”
When a female guest jumped to Crowe's defence, a source told the site that Banks reportedly went on a tirade, saying: “You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino s***."
Witnesses say that Crowe remained calm until she reached for a glass and “cocked it back.”
The 53-year-old then reportedly “grabbed her in a bear hug and carried her out of the suite” before calling hotel security.
According to TMZ, at least four witnesses who gave statements during the investigation used the word erratic to describe Banks’ behaviour.
Banks posted a status to Facebook on Sunday saying, “'To recap my night, I went to a party at Russell Crowe’s suite, at which he called me a n****r, choked me, threw me out and spat at me,” the Mail Online reports.
“Last night was one of the hardest nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time. The men in the room allowed it to happen. I feel terrible today.”
The post has since been deleted, while Crowe is yet to comment.
