RTE sports presenter Jacqui Hurley has announced the arrival of her second child.

The popular broadcaster (33) and husband Shane McMahon have a three-year-old son together and revealed the exciting new addition to their family on Twitter with a

"Introducing baby Lily McMahon to the world. Arrived on her due date today. May she always be this punctual & we'll have a great life," she wrote.

Hurley travelled to Rio last summer to cover the Olympics and she and sports news broadcaster Evanne Ni Chuilinn, who has two children, both were given a health and safety briefing before they left Ireland to cover the games.

At the time, she said she was reluctant to travel because of growing concerns over the Zika virus and a number of athletes, including Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry and Jordan Spieth pulled out of competing in Brazil, citing uncertainty over the virus.

RTÉ sports broadcaster Jacqui Hurley admitted last month that she was apprehensive about travelling to Rio amid growing concerns over the Zika virus epidemic.

"We would like to have another baby so we read up everything on the Zika virus that we could and are comfortable with the facts," she told the RTE Guide.

"In any case, we are planning to wait until next year for more family. There are also a lot of athletes who have spoken about the virus and I believe the more it is out there the better as the worst think would be people talking around corners. Being open about these things is the best."
