Rihanna wants you to know she doesn't care what you think about her body.

The 29-year-old singer has been back in the headlines in recent weeks for having the sheer audacity of gaining a little bit of weight and not moving immediately into a windowless room and refusing to see the outside world - instead she held her high and is owning her figure, a decision which clearly not everyone has agreed with.

Last week, she was the subject of a bizarre column by Chris Sprags published on a sports website, with the headline, 'Is Rihanna going to make being fat the hot new trend?'. It was as bad as it sounds.

"A world of ladies shaped like the Hindenburg loaded into one-piece bathing suits may be on the horizon now that Rihanna is traipsing around out there looking like she’s in a sumo suit," Sprags wrote in the now-deleted piece.

But rather than cave into his publicity hungry clutches, she simply responded in true-Rihanna fashion - with a meme.

Sprags' piece has now been removed, not for its body-shaming message, but for "not being funny enough", according to website founder David Portnoy.

"There are just certain topics that you better nail if you’re gonna write about them because you know they are hot button issues for us. So if you’re gonna blog about Rihanna gaining weight you better be funny as f*** and you better make it bulletproof."

For the record, it's important to note this picture was taken less than three weeks ago and this is an example of "fat" Rihanna.
