Queen Elizabeth has only ever had eyes for Prince Philip, according to reports.

Britain's longest reigning monarch and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, got married at Westminster Abbey on November 20, 1947, with over 200 million people tuning in on the radio to listen.

With nearly 70 years of marriage behind them, Elizabeth and Philip hold the title of the longest marriage of a British sovereign.

Despite Elizabeth's father King George VI having reservations about Philip, Elizabeth tied the knot at 21-years-old and reportedly lists the marriage as one of her "greatest achievements."

Biographer Sally Bedell Smith, author of Elizabeth the Queen told People: "She fell in love at age 18 and never looked at anyone else."

Executive producer of The Crown, Suzanne Mackie, added: "One of Elizabeth’s greatest achievements is being allowed to marry the love of her life. Like any marriage, it would undertake endless recalibration and navigation and re-negotiation."
