An image which shows Prince William on board a Ryanair flight is going viral across the world.

The 33-year-old royal proved he is down to earth despite his title as he flew with the budget airline to Scotland.

The dad-of-two opted for the lowcost fare and took a Ryanair flight from London to Glasgow.

According to reports, passengers on the flight were irritated with the unexplained twenty minute delay.

Until the heir boarded, accompanied by just one bodyguard.

“I never expected to see him on Ryanair, but it’s refreshing to see a member of the royal family take a cheap flight,” an eye witness told The Sun.

He's not the only high profile fan of the Irish airline - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have also snapped up bargain flights in the past.
