[PICS] Laura Whitmore leads the style set at V Festival as Labrinth proposes to girlfriend on stage
Laura Whitmore led the style set on the first day of V Festival in the UK this weekend as she hosted MTV's coverage of the event.
She rocked trademark festival style of denim cutoffs, ankle boots, crop top and leather jacket as she interviewed bands backstage throughout the day.
Laura (30) popped on stage to introduce her good friend and fellow Bray native Hozier before his set.
She topped off her evening by partying with headliners Kasabian, posting pics to Instagram to keep her followers in the loop.
Meanwhile, Labrinth (26) surprised his girlfriend and the crowd by proposing to her on stage during his set on stage at Hylands Park as up to 50,000 people looked on.
The Jealous singer will forever remember the day as long-term girlfriend Muz said yes, much to the excitement of the crowd. Labrinth then serenaded his sweetheart with his hut Earthquake.
Earlier Jess Glynne had an emotional return to the stage after vocal surgery and became tearful after hitting the high notes in My Love.
The 25-year-old chart-topper, who was watched from the wings by friend Sam Smith, said: "The past 24 to 48 hours has just been the most emotional point in my career and standing on that stage in front of all those people and hearing them sing back, it just hit me.
"I was trying to sing and not cry, I had my dad on the side of the stage getting me all teary and I went to sing the note and it just hit me."
Yesterday also saw Ella Eyre and Ella Henderson as well as James Bay take to the stage while today's line-up includes The Script, Calvin Harris and Ellie Goudling.
