Paul Galvin and Louise Duffy 'set to wed on New Year's Eve in Mayo'
GAA star Paul Galvin and broadcaster Louise Duffy are reportedly set to ring in 2016 as man and wife.
It's reported the pair, who became engaged in 2014 after three years together, will exchange vows on New Year's Eve in Louise's home county of Mayo.
The high profile couple have largely remained coy about their wedding plans, only saying they would wed in low-key fashion this winter and Louise previously spoke of her desire to have a Christmas wedding.
And it looks like her wish is coming true as it's believed that they will host their nuptials on December 31 in an intimate ceremony.
The 31-year-old gushed about her long-term love, saying she knew within the first few dates with the Kerry footballer (35) that he was 'the one'.
"I remember our first couple of dates, I just knew he was a fantastic man," she told the new issue of VIP Magazine, out now.
"So yeah, it was pretty early on that I knew it was something pretty lasting and we were going to be in it for the long haul."
"I think you just have to be best friends with somebody who has your back.
"Life is busy and you're doing different things, he's doing his thing and I'm doing mine, so you have to be there for each other, be looking out for each other. It really does boil down to being best friends through and just enjoying each other's company so much.
Louise, who hosts her own popular show on Today FM has been busy the last week covering for Lucy Kennedy and Martin King on TV3's The Seven O'Clock Show, co-hosting with Ian Dempsey.
