The singer took to Twitter to share a heartfelt tribute to her friend.
“Thomas Ayad from my team of record company in France is one of the victims in the Paris massacres, amongst two others from other branches of the company.
“I knew he was missing and feared the worst. Very sad to hear it’s true. He just went to a gig!
“My heartfelt condolences to his colleagues, friends and family. Imelda X,” she said.
The Dublin star also shared a photograph that she'd taken of Paris when she'd visited the city only 24 hours before the attacks.
"I took this last night. A beautiful peaceful Paris only 24hours ago... God love them all now. Horrific. So, so sad. My thoughts and prayers are with the innocent victims and families. Strength to the survivors. Wisdom to the leaders."
