New mum Sarah Morrissey returns to pre-baby shape just a month after giving birth
It seems model Sarah Morrissey is a fast mover when it comes to getting her post-baby body back into shape.
One of Ireland’s most recognisable fashion models, the Dubliner was delighted to welcome her first child with ex-footballer husband Pat Jennings Jnr last month.
The couple announced the arrival of their baby girl, Sadie, on November 14.
A big fan of staying in shape and eating clean, Sarah wasted no time in returning to her model figure.
Fashionably late (like her mam) We couldn't be more in love. Sadie Jennings born yesterday. A HUGE thank you to all the amazing staff/nurses in the coombe hospital for looking after us all so well.. You really are amazing and kind for what you do for every patient. #babyfinalycame #babyjennings #baby #babygirl #pregnancyblogger #babyblogger #blogger #modelblogger #ootd #ootn #fitnessblogger
The Liberties woman enjoyed a well-deserved day out at the weekend and wowed in an off-the-shoulder jump suit.
Also a keen fashion and beauty blogger, Sarah (31) shared the post with her Instagram followers before enjoying a lunch date with some of her girlfriends.
The statuesque model looked trim in the figure-hugging black suit, which she teamed with a pair of black heels.
Sarah wore her long locks pulled back off her face and finished the look with a black diamante hair band.
She joked that the photo was taken just before baby Sadie was sick on her.
Sarah, who won the Miss Ireland contest in 2006, and Pat tied the knot in Italy in 2014.
The new mum described the arrival of her little girl as being “fashionably late”.
Sarah didn’t start showing until she was well into her second trimester, which meant that her modelling career never slowed down.
Before Sadie’s arrival, she told the Herald that she will resume her modelling career as soon as possible.
“I’ll come back to modelling. I couldn’t give a timeline on it, that’s the only thing,” she said.
Sarah is also a qualified fitness instructor and had started doing her own classes in her Pat’s gym.
She kept working out all the way through her pregnancy and said her regular workouts kept her feeling well during the nine months.
“I’m a qualified trainer and that helps, so I know what I can and can’t do,” she said.
“I can mostly do everything I do normally, just at a lower intensity."
“I’m not working out every day like I used to, but probably three times a week."
“I’ve no cravings and am in great form. I feel terrible because my friends are pregnant and some have had it worse.
“Honestly, apart from the baby moving, I keep forgetting that I am pregnant.”
There has been something of a model baby boom this year, with model pal Aoife Cogan also giving birth last month.
Aoife and former rugby star husband Gordon D’Arcy welcomed their first son – Lennon – a sibling for their little girl, Soleil.
The new arrival came only days after Sarah and Pat welcomed baby Sadie.
Meanwhile, fellow model Karen Fitzpatrick welcomed a daughter, Zara, in September.
