The disappointment of crashing out of the Irish Open didn't last long for golf's number one Rory McIlroy, as he stepped out for the first time with his new love interest.
The Northern Irishman opened up about new girlfriend, American Erica Stoll (29), who he revealed he has been seeing for the past six months.
The loved-up couple took on the elements and were pictured together at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, which McIlroy was hosting through his charitable foundation.
The golf star has been romantically linked with a string of women since he broke off his relationship with tennis ace Caroline Wozniacki last year, just as the couple's wedding invitations were sent out.
And things appear to be really heating up for Rory as he revealed why he has been spending a lot more time in the US recently.
"She is from America which is why I like to spend time in Spring Beach. She doesn't play golf but she is involved," McIlroy said this week after he missed the cut in the Irish Open.
"I am very happy in my love life," he said, before adding: "If everything off the golf course is good, it allows you to be better on it as well."
Despite that optimism, it was a weekend to forget for all the Irish players.
Dane Soren Kjeldsen took the title after a three-way play-off, overcoming heavy wind and rain.
