Simon Cowell wants another baby "very badly", according to his partner.

The 54-year-old TV mogul welcomed his first child with Lauren Silverman on Valentine’s Day.

And according to little Eric’s mother, the couple are hoping to expand their family at least once more.

“We’ll definitely have more children,” Lauren told UK newspaper The Mirror, gushing that Simon is an “amazing” dad.

“I would like one more, I think it will be a girl, Simon wants a girl very badly,” she added.

Lauren also said it was a “blessing” she was able to conceive again.

The 36-year-old American socialite shares an eight-year-old son with ex-husband Andrew Silverman, and didn’t think another baby was in her future.

“I was never able to have a child for a long time, it’s the biggest blessing,” she said, gushing, "With Simon I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. He’s an amazing dad, he does all the nappies, very hands-on. I love him.”

The Mirror reports Lauren now divides her time between Simon’s home base in London, and her home in New York.

Her eight-year-old is fortunately supportive of the expanding family, she said.

“My older son is so in love with the baby, it’s been fantastic,” she added.

Simon recently spoke about the pride he feels in being a dad, and echoed Lauren’s sentiments about feeling “blessed” Eric is healthy.

Asked if he had realised how fortunate his family is, he told British magazine Hello!: “Of course. You feel blessed and luckily he's in good health. It did put things into a different perspective."
