Liam Neeson is to star in Martin Scorsese's upcoming film Silence.
The Taken star is joining Andrew Garfield and Ken Watanabe in the movie, reported Deadline.
Silence is an adaptation of a Japanese novel by Shusaku Endo, and will see Spider-Man star Andrew as Father Rodrigues, a Jesuit priest who travels to Japan in the 17th century to find out whether his mentor has abandoned the church.
Ken will take the part of the priest's Japanese interpreter.
And Liam, 61, will star as a priest who headed to Japan years ago and has gone missing.
Shooting is due to begin in Taiwan later this year.
