Nadia Forde has opened up about her friendship with Rory McIlroy, saying she loves a man with 'ambition and drive'.

MODEL Nadia Forde has had a miracle escape after being involved in a horror car crash on one of Britain's busiest motorways.

The top model is "lucky to be alive" after flipping her car up to six times on the M40, the Herald can reveal.

The 24-year-old suffered a concussion and had to be treated for shock and
minor injuries in a hospital in Warwick near Stratford-on-Avon in the wake of the accident.

TV star and singer Nadia was driving her tiny Fiat 500 Abarth sports car to meet up with friends in Manchester.

She lost control of the car which skidded as a result of bad weather and it ended up in the central reservation after flipping over several times.

"It was terrifying for her - she got a massive shock and it all happened in a split second. She's lucky to be alive," said a pal.

"The car just skidded as it was raining really badly and Nadia braked to try to control it and it spun out of control, flipping over. The car's a total write-off."

A passer-by called emergency services after witnessing the accident, which happened around noon on Sunday.

An ambulance treated Nadia at the scene. She was treated for concussion and spent a night in hospital before being released.

Her friend added that she was "shaken but OK" after the accident.

"She knows how fortunate she is that the accident wasn't worse and she didn't even break a bone. It was one of those unavoidable things," she said.

"Thank God there was no other car involved or it could have been very different."

Nadia has been dividing her time between Dublin and the UK as she carves
out a name for herself in the music
industry.

Nadia has been busy promoting her new debut single BPM for the past two weeks, after it charted well in the Urban Charts.

The half-Italian beauty has also
been linked with top golfer Rory McIlroy after the pair were spotted among a group of friends on a night out in Dublin.

Speaking recently about her love life, she said she was looking for "somebody with ambition and drive who is hard working".

Asked about the high-profile golf star, she said he was a "lovely guy".

"The bottom line with me and Rory is we have some mutual friends who introduced us and we've been in each other's company," she said.

Nadia has previously dated Leinster star Luke Fitzgerald and DJ Mark Noble.
