Irish model and singer Nadia Forde has admitted that a near-miss in a car crash last year has changed her life.
The stunning model (25) was driving on a British motorway last July when her car skidded due to bad weather and flipped over six times.
Nadia told Ryan Tubridy tonight that she booked herself a trip to Disneyland straightaway to celebrate her good health.
“I obviously had a guardian angel looking over me,” she said. “[The car crash] has probably been the biggest thing for me [last year]. It was a very serious car accident.”
“I had a couple of niggles and I still have an injury in my right leg but I was blessed to walk away from it... It puts things in perspective. You realise how close it was for a minute.”
“I went to Disneyland that weekend because I was so happy and I had a bucket list,” the stunning model told the Late Late Show host.
Nadia, who was a covergirl for FHM magazine recently, said the hardest thing about showbusiness is the “loneliness”.
“Being away from home and just the loneliness... I have to make a sacrifice to be away from my family and friends.”
However, she added: “I have an amazing life. I’m 25 and getting to live this incredible life... but of course I miss home. It’s just missing home is the tough part.”
The FHM covergirl ruled out a Playboy shoot for now, because she’s so happy with the FHM photo shoot.
“FHM were great and they had me in their mag last year, and after the [‘I’m a Celebrity’] jungle they asked me to be their cover girl.”
“There’s no playboy shoot right now. FHM is a lot and I think that’s enough for now. But I don’t know what’s going to happen. I didn’t know I was going to have a car accident last year [for example].”
But she added: “I look at girls like Rosanna Davison who did [Playboy] and she was amazing.”
Nadia once again put to bed the rumours which linked her with golfer Rory McIllroy,
“To me he’s just a friend, one of the guys.”
Asked if she would date him, she said: “No, he has a girlfriend.”
And in relation to growing older, she said: “I’m a little bit ballsier now than I was a couple years ago and definitely have tougher skin.”
