“The girl was making a lot of noise, screaming. I saw something sparkly going up and down. … I called 911, I was begging them to come.”

The boyfriend reportedly continued to stab E’Dena in the torso even after she had stopped screaming and her body had become lifeless. The 30-year-old was still screaming at her when law enforcement officers arrived at the scene.

E’Dena was the granddaughter of Morgan’s first wife Jeanette Adair Bradshaw. Though they weren’t genetically related, the pair were close and E’Dena joined the Million Dollar Baby actor at a number of red carpet events.

Within hours of the attack, the 78-year-old issued a statement paying tribute to his loved one.
