He's rarely out of the headlines for his bad boy behaviour - and it seems Justin Bieber could be in yet more trouble.

The singer reportedly being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department in connection with an alleged attempted robbery.

The alleged incident took place on a mini golf course in San Fernando Valley on Monday night, according to LAPD.

Bieber, who has not yet been arrested but is accused of the crime by an unnamed source, reportedly reached into a woman’s handbag and took her phone after she began taking pictures of the pop star.

This happened the same night as he instagramed a video of himself playing mini-golf with the hashtag #iamthebestputteralive.

He has faced growing legal trouble in recent years having been arrested for drag racing and drug possession in Miami last year, assault charges in Toronto and vandalism in LA.

There is also an investigation into allegations that he and other passengers onboard a flight from Canada to New Jersey interfered with the flight crew.

Detectives have interviewed the victim, who reported the alleged crime, Herrera said. The incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on Monday in the Van Nuys area of Los Angeles.
