Model mum-to-be Sarah Morrissey may have just had the prettiest ever baby shower
Top model Sarah Morrissey is gearing up to go on maternity leave after a fun-filled baby shower over the weekend, the Diary can reveal.
Her good pal Nadia Forde made sure to pull out all the stops when it came to helping organise the special day for her former Miss Ireland pal.
Looking fresh after hitting the town at the Irish Film and TV Awards on Friday night, Nadia booked part of House on Leeson Street for the happy occasion, describing it as a "dreamy day" for her model friend.
All her guests donned 'flower crowns' for the intimate party, which involved a customised lunch, Bellinis and white balloons bearing the words "Sarah's Baby Shower".
Sarah (31), who won the Miss Ireland contest back in 2006, looked delighted with all the effort that her friend went to.
She was joined by about a dozen of her closest pals and family, including her twin sister Louise and her three other sisters.
Sarah is due her first baby with her husband Pat Jennings Jnr shortly and said she has been blessed with a very easy pregnancy.
Lucky Sarah didn't even start showing until she was well into her second trimester, which meant that her high-flying modelling career never slowed down.
The well-known model, who is also a fitness instructor at her other half's gym, credits her regular work outs with keeping her feeling so well.
"I'm a qualified trainer and that helps, so I know what I can and can't do. I can mostly do everything I do normally, just at a lower intensity," she told the Diary.
"I'm not working out every day like I used to, but probably three times a week.
"'I've no cravings and am in great form. I feel terrible because my friends are pregnant and some have had it worse. Honestly, apart from the baby moving, I keep forgetting that I am pregnant."
She also said how she and Pat were going to stick to tradition and not find out the sex of the baby, opting instead to keep it as a surprise.
Just like her model friend Yomiko Chen, who had her first baby earlier this year, she's determined to resume her modelling career after she becomes a mum.
"I will come back to modelling. I couldn't give a timeline on it, that's the only thing," she said.
She also hopes her healthy lifestyle will help when it comes to the delivery of her baby.
"They don't call it labour for no reason - it's hard work," she said.
"I think if I keep myself fit and healthy, hopefully it will continue that way."
