Missy Elliott heads top US line-up on last day of Bestival
The last major music festival of the summer is drawing to a close with a showcase of top American musical talent.
Bestival's Sunday line-up is spearheaded by singer and rapper Missy Elliott as she prepares for the release of her comeback album being produced with Timbaland.
It is the first time the Get Ur Freak On singer has performed in the UK for six years.
The Isle of Wight event has attracted around 50,000 music fans this weekend, dressed in garish fancy dress for the event's Summer of Love theme.
Organiser Rob da Bank tweeted: "Holy c*** @MissyElliott has just started soundchecking @bestival....It sounds IMMENSE". Also on the main stage will be legendary family group The Jacksons - formerly the Jackson 5 - who have continued to tour after the death of brother Michael Jackson in 2009.
The day got under way with a raucous electro set from the Dub Pistols and the main stage field became a sea of early-afternoon ravers.
After two days of sunshine, the heavens opened in the afternoon, with showers forecast throughout the rest of the evening.
A fancy dress competition took place after two days of costume parades, with the crowd helping to decide the winner with their cheers.
