Miriam O'Callaghan set for 'lazy' Christmas with the in-laws
Miriam O'Callaghan is set for her first "lazy" Christmas in nine years.
The Prime Time presenter (55) will be spending the festive season with her husband Steve Carson's family this year, while his sister takes to the kitchen to cook for the large family.
Miriam and her eight children will be spending Christmas Day with the Carsons and the popular broadcaster said she's looking forward to putting her feet up for a change.
"This year will be the first Christmas in a long time when I won't be cooking Christmas dinner, we are all going to my sister-in-laws," she told the RTE Guide.
"I think the last time was when i was pregnant with Jamie, my nine-year-old who was born in February. I had a placenta previa, so I was stuck in bed and a very nice friend of mine cooked our turkey.
"So this Christmas will be a really lazy one."
Miriam has four children with ex-husband Tom McGurk and four children with husband of 20 years Carson, the head of BBC Northern Ireland.
