Miranda Kerr's security guard was stabbed in the eye while trying to fight off an intruder attempting to gain access to the model's Malibu home.
The security guard shot the intruder several times as he tried to climb a fence to gain access to Kerr's home, while the guard was then stabbed in the eye when the intruder was caught.
The incident occurred at 11:11am on Friday and the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department was called.
Kerr, who lives in the home with her five-year-old son Flynn, was not home at the time.
Both the security guard and intruder were airlifted to separate hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
"The armed security guard is listed in stable condition, and the intruder is listed in critical condition with non-life threatening injuries," a post on the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Facebook page reads.
Kerr (33) bought the four bedroom home for $2.15 million following her divorce from British actor Orlando Bloom in 2014.
The Australian model announced her engagement to Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel in July after one year of dating.
