Lord of the Dance Michael Flatley (55) says that bringing the curtain down on his glittering career will be one of the most emotional moments of his life.

The dancer last night received a standing ovation at the world premiere of his new show, 'Lord of the Dance - Dangerous Games' at the London Palladium.

But while the dancer said he was "absolutely thrilled" with the reaction of the UK audience, his thoughts are focused on his Irish farewell performance next March.

His final Irish dance performance, at Dublin's O2 Arena, will be attended by his wife, Niamh, his son, Michael St James, and his parents.

"Dance has been very good to me which is what makes it so hard to say goodbye to it all," he said.

The 'Lord of the Dance - Dangerous Games' features former Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle, who sings the title track. Derry-born Coyle (29) said it was a "huge honour" to be part of Flatley's show.
