Newly single Lisa Murphy has opened up about her life after splitting with her partner of 10 years Gerald Kean.
The former Dublin Wives star (43) was dating the celebrity solicitor (58) on and off since 2006, having broken up a record seven times and always rekindling their romance, but the pair called it off for good earlier this year.
And now Murphy is living at home with her family in Ballinteer, South Dublin, after moving out of Kean's expansive Drayton Manor in Co Wicklow. During their last split in 2012, she moved in with former co-star Jo Jordan in Castleknock.
"I'm actually back with my parents at the moment in Ballinteer. I'm getting totally spoiled which is lovely. It's great to have them all to myself as they're getting on in life," she told the new issue of VIP Magazine.
"I'm very close to my family, I adore them. It's just a temporary stay, but I'm delighted to be there."
Lisa, who was previously engaged to Lord of the Dance star Michael Flatley, said her life can look glamorous from the outside, but maintains that you can't buy love and you can't buy happiness."
"I'm actually very laid-back and I like the simple things in life. I've always loved spending quality time with my family and friends, which costs nothing.
"Losing a family member puts everything in perspective and there is no word in the dictionary that described the loss of my special brother Paul. Now, as I said, I'm rediscovering that side of myself and my love of the simple things. I adore the outdoors and cycling, things like that."
She is currently working as an advisor at cosmetic surgery clinic Enhance Medical and said any of her surgical enhancements were "all for me".
"I'm happy in myself now, I know who I am as a person. I've got great morals, which I got from my rearing and I stick by those morals strongly. I treat everyone how I would like to be treated."
