Like mother, like daughter: Blake Lively takes mum Elaine to Michael Kors show at NYFW
Killer style clearly runs in Blake Lively's family.
The Gossip Girl actress (28) has become more famous for her sartorial choices than her onscreen roles and it's easy to see where she picked it up from as she took her mother Elaine as her date to the Michael Kors Autumn/Winter show at New York Fashion Week.
She stunned in Suntan bonded wool reefer and crystal-embroidered floral lace slip dress, from the Transeason 2016 Michael Kors Collection, leading a host of A-list fashionistas including model Riley Keough, Jennifer Hudson, Naomie Harris, Olivia Palermo and Jessica Hart.
And she has never been shy about prioritising mother, often regaling customers with stories of her mother when running her now-defunct lifestyle website Preserve.
"It all goes back to family," she said. "It has always been the most important thing in my life – everything I do is at the heart of it."
The Town star, who is married to Ryan Reynolds, is famously close with the designer, attending all of his fashion shows and recently joined him for a photoshoot with The Hollywood Reporter focusing on the world's most famous designers and their Hollywood muses.
Kors previously described her as "fearless" on the red carpet, saying: "In the most glamorous dress, she still looks very at ease, which I think is the trick to looking great. "
"It's very attainable. It's very warm and inviting like him, so the women in the room look like the best dressed women in the room, but it's not like you could never be this person. It's very inviting."
