We need to talk about Liam Payne's new look.

The former One Direction singer (23) is obviously changing things up a bit since becoming a first-time father, but we didn't expect him to mature this fast. Payne was invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace where met Britain's Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Harry for Queen's Young Leaders Awards ceremony and he was sporting a distinctly new style.

The royal dress code requires those meeting anyone in Britain's royal family to cover up and expects guests to wear a lounge suit, which explains the tie, but not the glasses. Or the fact that he looks like what Hollywood imagines university professor of medieval literature look like.

Payne was unrecognisable for his meet and greet with the royals, sporting a new pair of specs and was likened to Harry Potter on social media.

But let's be honest, Harry Potter never looked like this.
