Laura Whitmore stays silent on X Factor hosting rumours as she holidays in LA
Irish tv presenter Laura Whitmore is staying silent on reports that she's lined up to replace Caroline Flack as the new Xtra Factor host.
The MTV star (28) is said to be in talks with ITV bosses as the new face of the X Factor spin-off show, amid a number of changes in the reality programme's new season format.
With Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole returning to the judging panel this year, new father Cowell is reportedly keen to shake up the show and boost its flagging ratings.
And Whitmore is said to be a key component in the new format, with former contestant Rylan also in the mix to join her as co-host.
She's already replaced Flack as host of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now! on ITV and has a solid relationship with network bosses.
But she has yet to respond to the reports, instead focusing on her break in LA.
Laura was spotted soaking up the atmosphere at Coachella earlier this week and has been keeping fans updated on Instagram with photos of her LA trip, including daily hiking trips.
The single tv star, who has most recently been linked to Scottish singer Paolo Nutini recently revealed that being linked to good pal Niall Horan has 'ruined' her love life.
"To be honest, those rumours have been going on for two years now and I'm so sick of them," said Laura (28). "It makes it harder if you are actually going out with someone else and to be honest, I just got bored of it after a while. I was like, 'Whatever. People can believe what they want to believe'."
"No matter how many times I say it, they say the opposite. I ignore it."
The in-demand beauty has been spotted hanging out with Nutini over the past few months, including at the Brits in London. She was also at his gig in Dublin's Olympia Theatre last month. Afterwards, they went out to Westmoreland Street pub Cassidy's.
