Lamar Odom become 'irate' after phone call about appearance on KUWTK
Troubled basketball player Lamar Odom remains in a critical condition in a Nevada hospital.
TMZ is reporting that doctors have found cocaine and opiates in the athlete's system, and needle marks on one of his arms.
Witnesses added that it is unclear whether the track marks are from previous drug use or are a result of a recent intake.
Dennis Hof, who owns the legal brother where Lamar was found unconscious and foaming at the mouth, told TMZ he can't swear that the basketball star wasn't doing drugs in his room.
Hof spoke to E! News and revealed more details about Lamar's stay at the Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nevada.
"Everything was normal. From the time he got there he was in a great mood. He was having fun, eating like a horse and having a lot of laughs. He wanted a bottle of cognac, so we gave him a bottle of cognac," Hof rold the outlet.
"The girls and the management said he was in a great mood having a great time, and that he was the same Lamar that they saw on his television show," he confirmed.
"And that he was happy...he just wanted to have a good time and get away from the pressures of the day and the paparazzi who's always chasing him around."
Hof added that Lamar was in a good mood until he received a phone call Sunday that "bummed him out."
It is believed that the phone call was in relation to his portrayal on the reality show starring his wife, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
TMZ reports that after that phone call, he became "inconsolable" and "irate" up until the time he was found unconscious.
"Of course everybody's thinking, 'Well, maybe it was drugs.' We didn't see any effects of that," Hof says. "He was going to sleep every night, and I don't think he was doing any drugs—although you never can tell. He was doing an herbal Viagra and a lot of it."
Lamar's ex-wife Khloe Kardashian remains at his side, and his former mother-in-law Kris Jenner has been spotted outside of the medical centre.
It is believed that Kim Kardashian West and Lamar's former LA Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant are also at the hospital.
Supermodel, and half-sister of Khloe, Kendall Jenner took to Twitter to pray for Lamar (35).
"Please don't go," she simply tweeted.
The 19-year-old is currently in China as part of Shanghai Fashion Week.
Retired basketball legend and current LA Lakers broadcaster Mychal Thompason told E! News that the team is keeping Lamar in their thoughts at all times.
"We are all currently praying for Lamar and wish him the best," he stated.
Lakers Head Coach Byron Scott also expressed concern for the dad-of-two.
"You know obviously our hearts and our thoughts are with Lamar and his family," he said.
"I don't know Lamar that well," he continued. "I just know in the past, talking to him a few times on occasion I really thought he was a terrific young man. So obviously I feel for him and I hope he'll be OK."
