Kylie Minogue will switch on Oxford Street's Christmas Lights on November 1.
Joining Capital FM breakfast hosts Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon, the Australian pop star will launch London's festive shopping season outside the Pandora store at Marble Arch at 5.30pm.
Other acts entertaining the crowds will be Foxes, Fleur East, Ben Haenow and Gabrielle Aplin, as well as a cast member from Matilda The Musical.
For the first time, West Oxford Street will be closed to traffic for the duration of the event, from 2pm to 6.30pm, with nearby shops offering special discounts.
Berry said: "This event officially marks the start of Christmas for London. The atmosphere on Oxford Street at the lights switch-on is always fantastic and it is great to be part of the Christmas countdown once again."
This will be the 56th year the road has been decorated for the festive period, with 1,778 baubles and 750,000 LED light bulbs expected to be used this year.
In addition, the switch-on will reveal a further 445 new golden baubles that will glitter among the snowball-shaped lights.
The switch-on will also be broadcast through live-streaming app Periscope for the first time.
Previous years have seen Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Jessie J and Robbie Williams press the button that kick-starts the shopping season on London's most famous retail road.
