Kim Kardashian may have to have her uterus removed after second baby
Kim Kardashian has revealed she may have to have her uterus removed after giving birth to her second child.
The reality tv star (34) is expecting her second child with husband Kanye West and after documenting her fertility struggles on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she has opened up to C Magazine about her currently health.
She suffered from placenta accreta, where the placenta attaches itself tot he uterine wall, when she was pregnant with daughter North (two) and had to have it surgically removed, a process which was recorded on her reality show.
“My doctors think I’ll have placenta accreta again,” she told the magazine.
“So if the placenta grows a little bit deeper than it did last time, then they are prepared to have my uterus removed, which is a little scary for me.”
“I think we’re just gonna go day by day, see how overwhelming it is, and see how the delivery goes,” she said.
Kim also suffers from pregnancy preeclampsiai which results in excessive swelling and during her first pregnancy and she was regularly critiqued by the tabloid media for her weight gain and fashion choices.
As a result, the media mogul said she no longer smiles for the paparazzi after seeing a darker side to the attention she gets.
“Before, I was always smiling, and so into being out and about. After I had the baby, I was like, these are the same people that made fun of me, and posted the stories that were so awful, calling me fat for something I couldn’t control. I don’t want to smile for them. I don’t want to be out.
“Even if I was more confident, I just didn’t feel like being that girl who was going to be smiling for every photo. It changed my mood. It changed who I was. It changed my personality a lot."
