Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom have reportedly called off their divorce and want to give their marriage a second chance.
The reality star tied the knot with the former LA Lakers player in September 2009 but filed for divorce in December 2013. Last week the sportsman was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel with cocaine and a herbal pill similar to Viagra believed to be in his system. The 31-year-old rushed to be her estranged spouse's bedside and was overjoyed when Lamar regained consciousness on Friday (16Oct).
Now TMZ is reporting that the traumatic events of the last week have brought the former couple closer together and they wish to give their union another go.
The outlet says Khloé’s lawyer Laura Wasser attended court on Wednesday to ask the judge to withdraw the divorce papers they had both signed. The documents had reportedly been waiting to be signed by the judge and the couple were not officially divorced as had previously been believed. The couple’s request was allegedly granted and the case has been thrown out.
The news of a reconciliation comes a day after Khloé finally spoke out about the heartbreak everyone close to Lamar had been through.
“This past week has been incredibly difficult,” she wrote on her website on Tuesday. “I am so thankful to family, friends and fans who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar. I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work. Under their amazing care, incredible strides have been made.”
It also follows the star’s ex-boyfriend French Montana praising Khloé for being there for Lamar. The pair dated earlier this year after she split from her husband but despite things not working out between them, French had only kind words to say about his former flame.
“It's a beautiful thing, what she's doing," he told New York Daily News' Confidenti@l column. "I feel like every woman should do that."
The reality TV star was dating another basketball player, James Harden, at the time of Lamar's medical emergency. Sources claim he stepped aside to allow his girlfriend to be with her husband.
