The actor and comedian took aim at the 65-year-old former Olympian during his opening monologue as he hosted the iHeartRadio Music Awards last Sunday. And while fans were quick to take to social media to show their disgust at his jibe, Bruce’s stepdaughter Khloé has now taken the opportunity to speak out during an appearance at Ulta Beauty on Thursday, where she was promoting her siblings’ Kardashian Beauty range.

"I just think it's a low blow. I think it’s very mean,” Khloé told The Insider, adding, “I wish him all the best. It is what it is. I know Jamie, so I think that's also why that’s a really low blow.

"But hey, guess that’s what he felt the need to do for a little press.”

Jamie (47) made the controversial “joke” during last weekend’s awards show, which was televised on NBC in the States. Addressing the star-studded audience, he stated: "Bruce Jenner will be here doing some musical performances. He's doing a his and her duet by himself.”

And 30-year-old Khloé is not the only family member to have taken great offence to the comment. Bruce’s son-in-law, Kanye West, is also reportedly fuming over the incident.

The 37-year-old rapper, who is married to Bruce’s stepdaughter Kim Kardashian, has reportedly demanded that Jamie publicly apologise for his gaffe.

“Kanye wants Jamie to publicly apologise to Bruce and his daughters. He’s tight with Jamie but taking jabs at Bruce’s sexuality at an awards show, let alone one for kids, is just wrong,” an insider divulged to HollywoodLife.com.

“[What he said was] not cool whatsoever. But really Kanye thinks Jamie made a fool of himself, more than a fool of Bruce.”
