Kerry Katona shares emotional post ahead of daughter Molly's move to Ireland
Kerry Katona has revealed her heartbreak as her daughter Molly prepares to move to Ireland.
The mother-of-five took to social media on Wednesday to share an emotional post about her eldest daughter's move to Dublin in August.
Molly (15) is set to move in with her father Brian McFadden's parents in Artane as she studies to be a surgeon.
Taking to Twitter and Instagram, the former Atomic Kitten singer posted a throwback photo of Molly as a toddler, alongside an emotional message.
"Omg just burst in to tears looking at my eldest come home from work!" she wrote.
"All grown up gonna miss her so much."
In an interview with OK! Magazine, Kerry (36) said she was "heartbroken" at the news.
"I'll be absolutely heartbroken. I have had a few down days about it already.
"Molly wants to be a surgeon. She wants to get really good grades in her GCSEs so she's going to Ireland to do a transition year.
"This will give her an extra year of biology and sciences. But I don't want to be the one holding my daughter back from furthering her education. She is my first-born. Knowing Molly, she will be back every weekend."
When asked about how she reckoned Molly would handle being away from home, she said she believed she will be "massively homesick".
"But I've told her that I think that it's the right thing to do. Her mind is like a sponge and just soaks everything up," she said.
Kerry paid tribute Brian's parents and said that they will "dote on her" and take good care of her while she is with them.
"I told her that if she didn't do it she could live to regret it. I don't want her to have a life full of regrets," she said. "If she doesn't like it, she can always come back home."
Kerry, who lives in Sussex, has two children from her short marriage to McFadden, Molly and Lily Sue (14).
They married in 2002 but split two years later, with their divorce finalised in 2006.
