Kendall Jenner puts modelling first as she 'doesn't have a romantic life'
Kendall Jenner doesn’t mind travelling because she “doesn’t have a romantic life”.
The 18-year-old reality star has been kept busy in recent months thanks to her modelling career, which has seen her walk the runway for major names including Chanel and Marc Jacobs.
But Kendall, who previously dated One Direction star Harry Styles and was romantically linked to NBA player Chandler Parsons, said she is currently single.
"I don't have a romantic life at the moment, so travelling doesn't bother me at all,” she told Teen Vogue magazine. “But I do want to go home. When I was young, I was the kid who would call my dad from a slumber party to beg him to come pick me up."
Kendall, who appears on two different covers for the September issue of Teen Vogue, also shared the reason behind waiting until she was 17 before trying to make it as a model. The statuesque brunette had to “grow into” herself.
"I wanted to get started, but I was young, and I wanted to do young things,” Kendall said. “I couldn't really go out there as a 15-year-old. I mean, I know that some girls do, but I couldn't. I'd grown up in the spotlight, and I needed to be a kid for a minute.”
But when Kendall turned 17, she decided that she wanted to try her luck in the modelling industry. The young star even chose designers to “go for”.
“I was like, 'All right, I'm going to start taking this seriously.' I felt like I should pick specific designers that I wanted to go for so I could make a good first impression—or more like a fifth impression. But it's my first impression on this world,” she added.
