THE TV presenter has told how she fell for her new man while standing in line in a packed O’Donoghue’s pub on Baggot Street.  But their relationship started off as a long distance one.

“It was a slow burner because I went to Canada for a week the night after I met him, and then I was home for a few days in which I didn’t see him, and then I went to the States for five weeks. So there were a few text messages and a couple of Skype calls in that time,” she tells the current issue of VIP magazine.

But she says she is blissfully happy now with the businessman and describes herself as “really happy”.

Kathryn, who split with former partner garda Enda Waters in 2012 after five years, says she was happy living the single girl’s life and couldn’t believe she met her new partner in a local pub.

“I was travelling all over the place, going to Vegas and London and here there and everywhere, and then you meet someone ordering a pint in O’Donoghue’s on Baggot Street!

“I wasn’t looking for anything and all of a sudden something presented itself and that made one part of the year very different to the other.

Kathryn, who is back presenting The Voice and Operation Transformation. lost three of her family to emigration last year.

“My sister emigrated to the States my brother to the Isle of Man and another brother left Dublin and is now down in UCC,” she says.

She especially misses her sister whom she describes as her rock when she was going through lows the previous year.  “I miss her a lot,  but we chat on Skype. She is having dinner while I am having breakfast.”
