Kate Middleton and Prince William taking August off for month long holiday
Kate Middleton and Prince William have cleared their calendars of official engagements in August for a month long holiday.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be forgoing their usual holiday spot in Mustique for a trip closer to home with their one-year-old son, Prince George, in Scotland, according to reports.
The royal couple will reportedly head to their Highland home next week where they will holiday with Prince Charles and Camilla as well as also making a trip to Balmoral in order to spend time with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
On Monday, the pair will jet to Belgium with Prince Harry to attend official engagements commemorating the beginning of World War I and are believed to be then flying straight to Scotland to begin their holiday.
“They will be at Anmer for much of the time they have off,” an insider told Vanity Fair's Royal Watch.
"They cannot wait to move in and they want to make sure the last stages of the refurb go to plan."
The Cambridges are waiting for the final touches to be put on their home at Sandringham Estate.
While they prepare to move into the estate soon, extra security has also been incorporated into the design of the home, including lengthening their driveway so that nearby churchgoers will not have as easy access.
In the meantime, Kate is also planning a housewarming for their neighbours and locals who have contributed to the work in their home.
