Kaley Cuoco says she doesn't regret marriage to Ryan Sweeting, despite divorcing after 22 months
Actress Kaley Cuoco refuses to refer to her failed marriage to Ryan Sweeting as a "mistake".
The Big Bang Theory star wed the tennis ace on New Year's Eve in 2013, after a whirlwind romance, but the union wasn't destined to last and the couple separated in September.
A day after it was revealed the Sweetings had finalised their divorce Kaley appeared on U.S. breakfast show This Morning and made it clear she has no regrets about tying the knot with Ryan.
"You know what, I'm not ashamed of anything that happened," she told the show's hosts. "I fall in love really hard, I do. I go deep. That person is it for me. And I love hard. And when it's over, it's over, and some people make mistakes."
She quickly corrected herself, adding, "(I) wouldn't call it a mistake; it just is what happened in my life, so I'm excited to see what the future holds. It happened and now I have to say I'm happier than I've ever been."
The 30-year-old went on to suggest the former couple isn't on speaking terms, after dodging a question about whether the exes are still friends.
"Everything ended the way it was supposed to," she coyly stated.
Kaley has since moved on, briefly dating Arrow star Paul Blackthorne last year, before embarking on a new relationship with professional equestrian Karl Cook, who she has been showing off in photos on social media.
"He's special," she gushed about her new man. "I think the horse connection is special."
